HISTORY OF THE BUILDING
EVOLUTION AND ADAPTATION OVER TIME
Initially developed to house office spaces, the Halle Building was designed according to a contemporary architectural language, marked by formal simplicity and functional efficiency, responding to the demands of a growing urban context.
At a later stage, BMII was challenged to reinterpret the building, adapting it to house a private healthcare unit. In close collaboration with professionals in the field, the reconfiguration of spaces and the implementation of a specialized clinical operation were ensured.
This process resulted in the creation of CPIS – Clínica Particular de Coimbra, which was later integrated, in 2017, into one of the leading healthcare groups in Portugal, consolidating the project’s position as a benchmark in the sector.
